India, June 07: Reham Khan’s purported autobiography is sending shock waves across Pakistan specifically for the ‘chilling’ and ‘damaging’ content enclosed in the book.
The book is written by Imran Khan’s former wife Reham Khan is causing a huge political storm in Pakistan ahead of the general elections in July revealing damaging allegations against the former cricketer-turned-Prime Minister hopeful on a varieties of issues – from taking the backing of extremist groups to the culture of sexual harassment in his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The tell-all book, Reham has not only blown the lid off her relationship with PTI Chief Imran but has also shared observations regarding the national issues and the role of state institutions in the country. It also disclosed instances of sexual coercion or favours, including some that directly relate to Imran Khan.
The book is expected to be launched in next few days in London, however, famed Pakistani actor and close associate of Imran Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi claims to have read the manuscript of the book and leaked the excerpts to the media.
Although critics have accused Reham of being part of a political agenda aimed at maligning Imran Khan and his party PTI. The 45-year-old after taking divorce from Imran Khan had allegedly established relations with the PML-N and she has been playing in the hands of the PML-N. As the Election Commission of Pakistan announced the final date of the elections in July 25, she also announced the launching of her book.
But Reham Nayyar Khan who is a journalist, television presenter and film producer of British Pakistani descent rubbished the charges and claimed that the book only contains what she observed in her personal relationships, as a daughter, as a wife and as a journalist. Reham had a short-lived marriage with the Imran Khan lasting 10 months. Reham Khan and Imran Khan got married in January 2015 and divorced in October 2015. It was Imran Khan’s second marriage. Here’s Everything We Know About Reham Khan’s Book So Far, Thanks To All The Leaks
Imran’s sister referred to him as ‘Haram Khan’, claims Reham’s book
Reham Khan, the former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, has claimed that one of Khan’s sisters referred to him as ‘Haram Khan’ in an exchange of text messages.
In the book to be released soon, Reham Khan shares an incident from the 2014 sit-in when she was handed a phone which was open on a text from Imran’s sister Aleema.
The text was received on a phone belonging to Imran’s other sister Rubina and it read: ’Haram Khan is here, looking victorious and the PTI girls have sat her in the front row’.
Reham claimed that Imran Khan considered his sister Rubina a bitter spinster who bullied Khan ‘for his looks and lack of intellect’.
“Imran told me that the family worried about him because he was a bit of dunce,” wrote Reham in the upcoming book.
Imran Khan’s former wife also shared the distasteful comments Imran and his sister Aleema shared.
“Imran would often make fun of Aleema and her political aspirations. She thinks she is bloody Fatima Jinnah,” stated Reham Khan.
She continued that in front of Imran, Aleema said quite clearly to her that he was not a brother to her.
“He is a commodity. We have to get where we want with him. So I don’t think of him like a sister would,” Reham quoted Aleema Khan as saying.
Imran Khan Is a Gay
In her memoir, Reham has allegedly revealed that Imran Khan, film actor Hamza Ali Abbasi and PTI member Murad Saeed are all homosexuals.
According to an excerpt from her new book, Reham stated that the three men have been in a relationship with each other. She went on to say that they would all meet in private every time they would make their way to Bani Gala because Abbasi had a ‘Pretty face.’
Imran’s Son, A Drug Addict
Apart from Imran’s sisters, Reham Khan also opened up about the sons of the cricketer-turned-politician, portraying them in a bad light.
According the book younger son Qasim is an drug addict and he sells drugs with his uncle Zac Goldsmith and Imran Khan's older son Sulaiman is mentally disturbing.
Imran Khan’s son wirh Jamima Goldsmith, Qasim Ali Khan, Reham shared that Jemima had been on the phone after discovering cannabis in his jacket. She also claimed that as per Imran Khan, Qasim was doing weed with Jemima’s brother, the boy’s own uncle.
Imran’s Penchant for Sexting with Female Anchors, Showing Images of His Genitalia
Reham Khan also shared her observation regarding the female anchors in the Pakistani TV industry, alleging them of having received explicit content from Imran Khan.
Imran’s penchant for sexting was apparently well known in Lahori circles. Most female anchors had excitedly reported receiving images of his genitalia, wrote Reham Khan.
She shared that when her film producer disclosed this, Reham dismissed it as a vicious rumour, wondering ‘why someone of his stature would take a risk like that’.
Reham accuses PTI of using 'sexual favours' for political positions
In an interview with an Indian news channel, the former TV presenter said that her forthcoming book would also reveal instances of sexual coercion or favours.
"I’ve discussed morality. And I’ve discussed morality in terms of nepotism, meritocracy or the lack of it, I’ve discussed sexual harassment, discussed sexual coercion, and how it is used, how sexual favours are used for political positions," she said when inquired about certain contents of her book.
"And some of those are related directly to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf."
Refraining from directly accusing the PTI chief, Reham however said that she supposed "people at the top have to take responsibility for what goes on in their household and in their party."
‘Wasim Akram used late wife for his sexual fantasies'
The claims in the leak manuscripts are very startling, to say the least, which describes Pakistani ace cricketer Wasim Akram and his late wife engaging perverse activities in vivid details. Since then, Wasim Akram has also been reported to be disturbed by these developments and plans to take action against them.
As per the leaked excerpts, Reham has alleged that Akram used his late wife to fulfil his sexual fantasies. Reham added that Akram arranged a black man who had sex with his late wife in front of his eyes. As per the leaked book, this explosive content was at pages 402 and 572.
Besides Akram, other people who have sent her “pre-action defamation protocol” letter are British businessman, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, her first husband Dr Ijaz Rehman, and PTI media coordinator Anila Khawaja.Reham has alleged in her autobiography that Bukhari does ‘dirty work’ for Imran Khan. On Page No 464 of the book, she has claimed that Imran Khan had impregnated a woman and the British businessman made all the arrangements for carrying out an abortion for the lady.
Anila Khawaja: ‘Chief of the Harem’
The former wife of Imran Khan further accused the former cricketer of having an illicit affair with PTI media coordinator Anila Khawaja. “Reham called her ‘chief of the harem’ in the manuscript” .
A tell-all memoir by Imran Khan’s second wife is causing uproar in Pakistan and threatens to derail the former cricketer’s campaign to be elected prime minister next month.
Memoir 'risks derailing' Imran Khan election hopes
Reham Khan, 45, a journalist, married the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chairman in 2015 but the couple divorced less than a year later. She has said the book will reveal details about their marriage and the inner workings of Pakistani politics.
Reham claims to have been harassed for months by members of her former husband’s party seeking to scupper the release, which PTI officials claimed was part of a ploy by Imran’s rivals to ruin his hopes of winning the national elections scheduled for 25 July.
Purported extracts of the book, which Reham says were stolen by hackers, were leaked to the Pakistan media this week, leading the author to seek an injunction to prevent further releases.
A Punjab province court temporarily stayed the publication of the book, which was expected to be released before the July polls, which are shaping up to be the most competitive elections in the country for years.
His supporters allege the book falsely maligns him as a liar and hypocrite who feigns religious faith. PTI supporters fear such allegations or claims of infidelity could hurt Imran’s appeal among Pakistan’s conservative urban middle-class.
